2016-09-10 Mob Squad flash mob at WA State Fair

The "Mob Squad 2016" flash-mob took place on Sept. 10, 2016 at the WA State Fair in Puyallup, WA. Approximately 550 square dancers, representing over 60 square dance clubs from all across Washington (plus 1 from northern Oregon and 1 from British Columbia, Canada) converged at 2:00pm and performed for just under 7 minutes. There were too many dancers to allow us all to congregate in one location, so we arranged for 3 separate venues within the fairgrounds, but all 3 "mini" mobs danced simultaneously. Each mob had a live caller (Brett Kappenman, Don Wood, Greg Weber).

The music "mash-up" was an upbeat mix of current pop and country, and was choreographed with "basic" square dance moves.
